Question Know This Carpet Company?

I am shopping for a full set of carpet for my 1985.5 Porsche 944.
Fryer's Auto Upholstery is selling full set cutpile carpet for $249.
Anyone know of the carpet quality?
Anyone with a clean set of carpet for sale? Burgundy is prefered but I could spray other colors.

Yep. I got new carpet for my 951 from Fryer's. The carpet is very nice and can be installed in either early or late cars. The kit comes with front and rear carpets, dooor pocket carpets (both early and late styles), rear cargo area carpet, rear seat back carpet, and carpet for the console in early cars.

The big thing is to make sure the carpet is installed properly, especially in the front seat area. Make sure the carpet is glued to the center tunnel all the way to the floor. Also make sure the installer's cut a relief for the parking brake light switch.

Thanks for the response. Just a couple more questions. You said the carpet should be glued all the way to the floor. If padding goes on the floor directly then the carpet, how do you glue the carpet all the way to the floor !!?
Will the carpet for the luggage area have the fasteners?

What I was referring to is a problem that I ran into. The installers did not pull the carpet all the way down the side of the tunnel (center console) before they glued the carpet to the floor pan. As a result the inside rail for the driver's seat tore a hole in my new carpet.

You need to either buy new fastners for the cargo carpet, or reuse the old ones.
