I've been considering upgrading to the hand brake handle from a later car. I've heard that they don't break as much. Is this true? My hand brake isn't staying up because i guess I pulled it too hard. Fixed it once before.

I've changed ALL my early cars in my sig. to the "later" handles. I like 'em better. JUST remember, if you get a later handle, also get the switch mount for it. THEY, are different. You'll need it in order to get the switch to work properly due to the curvature change.

I did this upgrade in January. It's the perfect time to get the parking brake adjusted the right way.
One thing: The bracket should have a slight u-shape when mounted. It took me two hours to figure that out, since the plunger switch on the bracket I received was mounted upside down and it wouldn't mount properly. It sounds strange to read that, but you'll understand if you decide to put it in.
