Early 944 clock user serviceable?
Can I open up an early clock? The only way I see it is to pry up around the lip, but there doesn't seem to be much of a gap. I think it needs a cleaning inside. Thanks!

Just like the Speedo, you can clean the guts out by prying (Gently) THE BEZEL OFF.
Early 944 clocks are a dime a dozen- maybe cheaper to buy a replacement.

I did open up my clock to replace the capacitors (which did fix it). It is a tight gap around the bezel. I used a very small, thin screwdriver to get it started. Then you can switch to a slightly larger one.

I got it open. It doesn't work at all now that I put everything on but the bezel. Maybe it's wiring. I accidentally touched the wires together for a second when removing it, and it arced. Could've shorted out, I'll take a look in the morning. If it's the clock, I'll just get another- resoldering the ground turned out to be a challenge.
Thanks, guys.
