It is actually east to lock the stock belt. When you pull on the belt fast it locks up, so tighten down to where you want the pull the belt fast out like you are tring to get more slack in it, LOCKED. I do this when I want more holding power as well and works great. One trick I do as well is lean back in the seat then do it to achieve even tighter, then when you relax it should be nice and firm.

Well, when you pull it out and it locks, you have to keep it tight, so no slip IN, hence why if you lean back some and get that LITTLE extra room between you and belt, it makes a difference. So, you sit in the car, put the seatbelt in, lean back and suck up much as you can (like sucking your gut up), put the seatbelt tight as you can against you without any slack, pull hard/fast to lock, then sit normal and let your "gut" out so the belt doesn't move, then release the belt from your hand. Trust me, it REALLY isn't that hard and for the "gut" comment, I am 160 and 5'9 without one and it still works. Just practice it.

I move the seat back a few notches, pull hard on the belt so it locks and then move the seat back into position again. Works like a charm and makes a lot of difference at AutoX.

HAHAHA im too freakin' skinny to hold the belt with my gut! It barely tightens down on my waist in the correct seating position to begin with! CG-lock totally changes that though!

A gut isn't required to make this work at all.
I've used this on students of all sizes. Male, female, young, old, fat, skinny... Every porsche does it and it works on everyone.
Tighten it more than comfortable and then yank it. Done. If it goes loose then you're not making it tight enough.
It pains me to think of people paying money for a half solution when the full solution is right there build into the car.

At my school I met one of the guys in the crash test lab that worked for CG Lock (I dont remember what he did for them). It really is a nice piece and allows dual use cars to have a tight lap belt. I sat in his car with one and I was impressed.
And no, they are not the stamped steel $4 parts.
