I'm fairly sure my car is not M030, just M474 - sport shocks/struts. But according to the pictures on Ian's website it has the M030 calipers: http://944online.com/cgi-local/ASI_S...kesystem-944s2
Here are the non M030: http://944online.com/cgi-local/ASI_S...kesystem-944s2
Mine has the raised lettering just like in the picture of the M030, and even as I was repainting mine noticed the PORSCHE stickers I bought to put on the calipers were useless since the caliper fronts were supposed to be flat! I just bought rear rotors for non M030 calipers. What the heck is going on... are the calipers with the raised lettering M030 or not?

Heres the thing: I literally just completed gathering every part for a brake job, rotors, pads, lines, rebuild kits, and if it is the sport calipers I'm screwed. Anyone else here with an S2? Even better, anyone thats replaced their rotors on an S2?

The pictures on the website are incorrect - they are reversed.
Actually the raised script/lettering is not necessarily in indicator of whether the calipers are M030 or not. Only size matters...
The 928S4/Turbo S/M030 front calipers came with the raised lettering, just like the non-M030 calipers. Brembo/Porsche changed the calipers in the mid 90's to use the "porsche" sticker/label instead of the cast in lettering. So all orginal M030 brakes that came on Turbo S and S2s had the raised lettering - but the current replacements have the stickers.
If your front calipers and brake pads are the same size as your rear calipers and pads, you Do Not have M030 front brakes. The 928S4/Turbo S/M030 front calipers and pads are very noticeably larger than the rear calipers (the rear calipers are the same for either standard or M030 cars).

Yeah, I just figured that much: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...spagenameZWDVW I'm relieved but mad at the same time, I could have had M030 calipers! And these definitely aren't big like M030 should be. Thanks!
