Apparently, one Group 4 924 was built from a standard street car; Monogram released a kit of it back in 79/80, and I finally found one at a model show up in New Jersey this weekend. It seems no one had a camera around when the thing was rolled out; none of my books have it (although I don't have the Ludvigsen book), and it's nowhere to be found online.
Anyone here have any knowledge of this beastie? I'd love to see some pics so I could do the model up right.
Thanks!
Lynn
(Also snagged a 1/12 Tamiya Porsche 910 for a whopping 30 bucks... talk about a score and a half!!!)

A Group 4 car? Hmmm... not sure exactly what you mean; can you describe it?
No pics here, correct?

Hi Vaughan-
It's a 924 with the riveted fender flares (something like a D Production racer), and an ENORMOUS air dam with four driving lights in it, much like a 935. No corresponding rear spoiler; roll bar fitted, deep-dish lace wheels (BBS-style) with Pirelli P7s are given in the kit.
It's in Martini colors (as given in the kit, anyway... Monogram's usually pretty good about giving reasonably accurate schemes on their kits). Thanks for the link, but no, there's no pic of it in there. The only reference I've seen to it, outside of the aforementioned kit, was in a production list which indicated one was built from a street car in 1979, presumably as a show car or test exercise.

Thanks much,
