Insurance says my S2 is worth more than a 968
I am toying with the idea of "upgrading" to a 968 and I just called the classic/exotic ins. co. that insures the S2 to see if the 968 qualifies.
Turns out they have a price guide.
Her price guide puts the 968 at 22,000/15,400 and the S2 at 24,000/16,800.
No, I do not have the numbers backwards. Maybe I should chage the first line to "downgrading" to a 968.

the first is the showroom number the second was the middle number. I forgot the term she used for the second. she had a third number around 9k for both that i didnt bother.
the first is insane for either car. the second sounds like a showroom number to me so I think her definition of showroom is a 99 point concours car/restoration.

Could be because the S2 you is older, parts are more expensive (to an insurance company anyway)? Clearly, the 968 cost more up-front, and is worth more book-value wise.
Strange, yet good if you get a 968--less insurance cost!
