Default PROMAX rear wiper delete pics/impressions

Well, I decided to buy this product a month ago(March 9th). Finally arrived here friday(Apr 7). Apparently their was a shipping problem the first time it was sent. But they sent out another one and it arrived. I do want to thank Andrew for keeping me informed the whole way.

As for impressions, I don't know if it's worth the $30. It looks like a nice product, but i'm not sure just yet. I probably won't be buying another one for my other 944. But here are some pics installed

While taking off the rear wiper motor, I decided to open it up. Anyone else's look this bad?

Ooh, man... YOur rear wiper looks rough! I'd like to do that too, my rear wiper sucks really bad, if I hit the button it basically spins around like a helicopter.

Could of had two Atlantic crossing then, sort of a return journey maybe.
Interesting camera handling, do you drink a cup of tea the same way?

LOL, I knew I should have used a different pic. I figured someone would see it. Actually, I was trying to keep the grease from that wiper motor off my digital camera. that crap got all over my hands.

Although I personally would not remove mine, it is a neat solution and looks ok.

I have always thought that the wiper is not in correct place, as in the pivot (hole) should be at least another 30mm towards the centre of the screen for a more usable sweep. I did look at trying to do something similar to wipers which sweep and extend giving you more of an eliptical sweep. All too much effort for the return.

Also, the wiper motor is on the same side for the right hand drive car also, so you can imagine it is even more useless for us over here.

Although one does drink ones tea with digits aloft, as we are all dead posh over here and know the Queen.

I'll let Chrisluckett chime in.... but basically we took a quick trip to Home Depot, picked up some bolts, washers, nuts, a flat rubber washer, etc.... Just go into the nuts & bolts aisle and make your own..

Better yet, find someone who bought an aftermarket plug or has a factory plug (like mine), bring it with you to Home Depot and find nearly identical parts there...

Not worth it. But thanks for taking the hit for us
A quick search on renn and you would have been set for wiper delete plugs/sources etc.

I figured I would try it out. I was going under the thought of "Don't knock it until you try it" Plus others might have been interested.

Jesse,
If the splines on your old wiper motor are in good shape, I may want to pick that up from you. I personaly like having the rear wiper and my motor works fine. The shaft that turns the wiper is pretty much trashed and needs replacement though.
