Default New Alarm

Took the 944 to a stereo shop in Memphis and had a Viper 791XV system installed saturday. I got the Keyless Entry, Remote Start, and Trunk Release features. It came with a two way pager LCD remote so it lets me know if anything is going on and where it is happening (door, under the hood, hatch). They said it was very expandable, that I could get my windows to roll up/down or open the sun roof with the remote. Not all very practical but its fun.

Think I'm gonna take it back to them next month and get a compass/thermometer rearview mirror.

Neat stuff.. If you don't mind me asking how much did that set you back? I might be interested in getting something similar one day.

Yeah, they went over the whole, NEVER ever ever leave it in gear and that they werent liable if anything happens. A cool thing is that the LEDs in the door locks still work to show it is armed, Ive always liked that feature. The whole system cost $500.

Damn, that's not nearly as expensive as I had thought it was... Considering I don't have an alarm at all, it might be a worthwhile investment.
