Default Ventilator and Engine [944S2]

Hi Guys !

So , i have some problems with my S2 ,
I’ve made a purge liquid of cooling because my gauge of water temp were always over the middle (before it wasn’t like that, it were below the middle) and it still over the middle now !
So what can I do to find my normal gauge ?

I have an another question , when ventilators must start ? because my ventilators start when my engine is off and not on , somebody can help me ?

Thanks

The S2 radiator fans can start with the engine off, they are controlled by the relay and the temperature sender in the radiator.

Keep purging the system, it sounds like you have some air in the cooling system if your temperature is running high and you just refilled the system. These cooling systems sometimes take a bit of work to remove all of the air.

Good luck.

Try raising the nose of the car onto ramps while doing the bleeding... It was the only way I could get my '90 S2 fully bled.

It probably needs purging, but mine used to wander upward until I cleaned the grounds at the back of the engine. Now it doesn't wander as much and reads maybe 1/2 a division lower. Might be worth considering.

Does it jump around a little when you turn on big loads like lights, AC, rear defogger? Mine used to.
