Default For 16v's Looking to Powder Coat Valve Cover

Did a little research while looking to fo the covers on my 928 and here is what I found:

928S4 Part Numbers
Valve cover - 928 104 461 08
Seal Ring - 928 104 447 09
Thrust Ring - 928 104 115 02 (rubber gromets)

S2 Part Numbers
Valve cover - 928 104 461 08
Seal Ring - 928 104 447 09
Thrust Ring - 928 104 115 02 (rubber gromets)

Looks like they are a straight across match. Now even better is that Dave Lomas at Motorsport has got covers in stock already powdercoated. I'll post pics and prices from the 928 thread.

From the original thread:

"Our prices are as follows...

Cam covers: $124.95 exchange plus shipping. Core charge of $200.

The core charge is necessary to keep our inventory whole. It will be returned upon inspection of the cores for damage or abuse."

Guessing that is for two but still need to clarify that so the pricing should be about 1/2 that. Not bad if you don't wanna hastle with finding a shop to have the work done.

You know I paid $35 locally to have my 16v cover and cam gear housing powdercoated silver.

Granted it was a PITA to take it there and pick it up since they were about 20 miles me.
