When reading these topics I dont know if I should laugh, or cry. I wonder where common sense went..... but yes, a Clay bar should get it off, provided it's just residue and you didnt go ape on your paint.

why even risk it with newspaper?!? it takes all of what 10-20 mins if that to take off the lenses?
be safe, take them off, take your time, do it right, and dont risk bone head stuff!!
(sorry to sound preachey, ive seen so many people make bone head moves on this forum, myself included when i was younger -but people should take the opprotunity from threads like this and learn from these posts to take their time and do it right. Thats all im saying).
