Default what is my factory radar worth?

i have factory installed radar detector installed from new.. i know the item is old but ive never seen one like this... it mounts in the bumper with a module next to the steering wheel below.. it actually has saved me from tickets but i think its worth something since it has porsche name on it and it is limited production.
whats it worth experts?
thanks

i would think so... another cool feature is that it tells all the newer radar detector that thers someone hitting them with radar, it funny to come behind someone with a radr dectector and turn mine on, especially when speeding!

that means that it's leaking X-band.

detectors generally need a reference .. the older detectors put out a signal that would be just as bad as a radar gun.
The newer ones ( past 10 years ) do not put out a signal & can identify a signal from another detector.

I am a former " Electronic Warfare " person in the navy and would have to be able to decieve missiles using their own radar, so I think I have a clue.. to say the least.

It may be worth some money as a museum piece. I'm sure there are people here that have a cassette player still in the dash cuz it's factory. There's no harm in that.. to each his/her own.

State of the art, I think not.

Don

My 924 had a Porsche handheld CB radio that plugged into a port under the dash and then cut out the radio and went through the speakers in the car. To this day, I have never seen another one.

I guess Porsche had a few cool little features like this. . .

Please post up some pics of this detector, I am interested in checking it out!

It isnt a factory detector, it is an OLD K-1XX detector. It might have been installed by a dealer but it isnt a Porsche item.

I could be wrong but I am about 99% sure in this case.

Hmm, pretty much all CB's have this feature. It's the "PA" (public address) function, and it's usually just a switchable 8 ohm speaker out.

Let's see a photo. I don't think it's a Porsche part. I have a hunch someone just put a porsche sticker on it.
