Default 83>86 part compatibility ?

I found a guy parting some stuff in his 1983 944.
I was going to buy the AFM and the Fog lights off of him.

Are these parts the same for the 83 and the 86 n/a?

Thanks
-Brett

I'm pretty sure the fog lights are the same, or at least they'll work.
I'm pretty sure the afm is different.

The 951 has an entirely different front on it, so Im pretty sure that the fog lights are not the same at all. The afm I believe is different.

sorry misread the N/A part LOL, yea fogs should work, basically I have nothing to add.

Thanks Mike.
I'm not sure that I NEED one, but the price was right on the 83 one. He is selling it for $50 and it has 43K miles on it. I can tell that mine is getting some bad spots in it though.
Could you PM the price on the AFM from the 87.

And does anyone know the difference between the early and late AFMs? Is it just the voltage output?

the AFM can NOT be switched unless the DME is switched also. If you have both the DME and AFM from the same year car, then it will work.

Rock is correct. The afm is different from 85.5 and up.
