So Dan, will you be coming then with your car or not? I know you said you have to get to work on the alignment, so wasn't sure. What I am thinking is to have a meeting place to meet at 1:30pm then go from there for a drive and dinner, or we can do a lunch then drive. So everyone that is coming, post up where you are coming from so we have an idea where to start from at least.

Manning & I are in Akron
Dan P is in Cleveland
Skip is in Cleveland (possible)
Kevin is in Grove City
Scott is just passing though
MPD1245 is in NE ohio, but where exactly...

I contacted Chris at Autobahn, and we're going to try to get my alignment done early next week, so yes, I should have a straight car by then. I also chatted with him about getting on Back Street's dyno (medina) and doing some tuning, he said no problem, he does it all the time, and a Saturday would be good. Maybe the week after the tech, we'll see. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to weekend scheduling.

I haven't been to one of Baker's tech sessions, but the ones I have been to (Steinels) sure lasted a lot longer than 1.5 hrs. My sources say Scott Harrison should be in town over the weekend of April 8th, FWIW.

I will be in Cleveland on business (sans Porsche, but what can you do?), mind if I try to crash the party?

Yeah, I have no idea how long it will drag out. I haven't been to any tech sessions yet, either from lack of interest or I was dead sick. This one is supposed to cover "944 transmission overhaul and also alignment procedures and suspension/ alignment procedures for track and street driving" so it may drag out a bit. I'll reply to Andrew's invite and see what he thinks time-wise.

And alignments are overrated (you've seen my front tires)

Hey,

I heard back from Sue and am pointing her to this thread. Maybe some EBR folks will join the fun afterwards. So far it look like the tech will last 3-4 hours starting at 9:00, so maybe plan on hooking up around 1 or 2?

Not sure, I don't know the area really at all. I am open to ideas on places. Depending on where we meet up, we can set a firm time. I would give the tech session until 2pm then figure drive time to location of meeting.

We'll figure something out. Steve is in Hudson and Dan knows the area pretty well I imagine, plus I know the area OK from driving over to the inlaws in Independence and working in that area.

4/8 afternoon drive sounds good; I'm in. I'll keep an eye on the thread for starting time & place.

How about it, where DO we want to start from? Feel free to offer suggestions quarky. Fred Baker doesn't have much in the way of available parking from what I remember, so it may not make sense to meet there (?) If we want to eat first we could meet at Quaker Steak and Lube on Canal off Rockside or meet someplace along Rockside and eat later.

I'm all about the eating, I like wings

And no I am not fat.
