Hey guys.
I just attempted to put in glow gauges today, but I could not find a suitable spot to splice the power from. I tried to splice into one of the ribbon cable lines (a red and a black) Power and ground right?
Anyway... this did not work.
Does anyone have any idea where to get the power from?
Anyone who has done it before?

Get test light, check under dash for wires which get power when you switch on the headlights. There are a number of choices to choose from, a popular one being the ashtray light.

Experiment a little and you can figure these things out.

 

Its kind of going the long way, but I ran mine down in the fender well to the marker light.That way they are on when I have just the parking lights on.

 

This may be just me, but doesn't anyone else here think the best place to get power would be from one of the lights that fit onto the back of regular guages?

I think that 9xauto.com sells them, and 1 or 2 other places I know of.

But I got them from a member who didn't have any use for them.
