Clarks garage says to gently pry the needle off of the stalk to remove the face plate.
I dont think I could pry much harder, and it does not seem to want to come off of the stalk.
It is a late instrument cluster (1986 na)

i just pulled harder....

Make sure you align the needles properly when you put them back on.
