928GTS aka Big Blacks (same size as Big Reds), 13" dia rotors with Lindsey Racing rotor hats for the correct offset. Lindsey Racing Camber Plates, similar to Ground Control plates but much beefier. The workmanship in the LR products is incredible!

I'll be very interested in knowing how those brake hats and rotors work out for you. Please let us know. A few years ago I spent a lot of money on Kokeln hats and 993 TT rotors. I had to take them off the car within a few weeks because the front end shook like crazy. Something must have warped. I replaced them with 1-piece 911 3.6 turbo rotors and haven't had a problem since.
The LR hats look like a near carbon copy of the Kokeln hats except for the large holes bored in the sides. Maybe those are there to relieve stresses because I think the Kokeln hats warped. I still have them sitting on the shelf. One of these days I'll have them dial indicated to see what happened. The LR hats look very nice.

Hi Tom,
Your brake and suspension set-up as described on your website is the inspiration for what I'm doing to my car. Where you kept the rear torsion bars, I will be removing mine and going with 500# springs with Huntley Racing coilovers. I have 300# springs up front.
So far I love the brakes. they bite really well and the stopping power is incredible. Hopefully I won't have the same warpage problem you had. Yeah, the Lindsey Racing pieces are top notch. I don't know how sturdy the Kokeln hats were but these guys are really stout!
I'll keep you guys informed.
Albert

I think I paid $274 each new from Sunset for the calipers. $130 for the pads, and $25ish for the silencers. If your Turbo is an '88 S or an '89, the calipers will bolt right up to the spindle. If not, you will need adapters to bolt the calipers. Go to www.944s2.com and read the brake section. That is Tom Pultz's site and really helped me out when I went to do my upgrade. All of your questions are answered right there.
So far, no warpage of the rotors or hats...(knocks on wood!)

I would LOVE to see how the big blacks or big reds really compare to the stock '86 turbo brakes on the car. Many say, WOW so much better but what are the real results on this? When/if I get my car into a track car, this would be next best to my suspension.

Lindsey has some cool stuff, Andy. The pieces are very well made.
Dave, I'm using 300# up front and will be going to 500# coil overs in the rear soon. I'm using stock Porsche pads. They bite really well but throw off some ungodly amount of dust. As soon as they wear out, I'll be using some Pagid blue pads.
Mike, how does "make you spit your bubble gum out" stopping sound to you? That's what it feels like.
