i might be interested, my 924s crapped out for now, so i might wanna check it out on the 944 instead. is it just the chip, or is it the whole dme, cuz i know that at least sometimes u have to send him the dme. maybe that's for the shutter and power prom. what one would i need? it would be nice to have the 7k rpm but i dunno. does anyone know if these would work with an 88 924S?

As for sending in your dme, no you do not. Only 1983 and 1984 DME's had the need to be soldered in. The 1985+ cars have the Eprom, so you can just take out the stock and throw in the new one. Your 924s should use the same one as the 1985.5, but may not due to the compression difference.

The shudder is simply a chip to fix the 944 shudder at idle. It is a completely stock chip otherwise. Also, any of the Powerprom chips have the shudder fix built in.

Hope this helps...

Yes 85.5 chips should work. Check www.frwilk.com for more info on compatibility though.

Also, no affiliation with the website or seller, just impressed with product

Well it's been 1 month since I filled out the order form on fr wilk's site. Also sent an email. I haven't heard a word.

Has anyone had any contact with him recently?
