The woodruff keys get buggered up after having been removed a few times. They should fit tight or else the gears will rock on the shaft and ruin everything. Replacing them is just a suggestion.

There are four of them, one on the crankshaft, one on each balance shaft, and one on the camshaft. They can be reused if they are in good shape.

Definitely replace the woodruff keys. For me, it took a good prying with pliers to get out the one on the cam head, it was able to fit in, but it was a bit loose, so i replaced mine.

Anyone attending DE in pocono this weekend?
