Success! The washer is in the mail. Turned out that one side was all seized up, but the other side came apart relatively easily.

BTW, it was cupped towards the bearing.

Now, if we can only figure out why the other CV is locking up on you....

Well, if you followed the picture that you posted, that is the right way to assemble it.

The only thing I can think of is that one of your ***** (no pun intended) is stuck in the cage.

Thanks a million joe. if you want any money ill paypal you for your time just PM me and let me know. i appreciate it!

I'm going to pull the CV again tonight probably and see if i can figure it out, or maybe i'll try it on the other side. Some of the bearings were discolored on one side of this shaft, and I figure I should replace it soon.. so maybe I'll just do that..

Well.. once again.. damned polish heritage..

I just was thinking to myself and talking to my friend.. i was thining i was going to put a washer under the bolt before i tightened it maybe its bottoming or something....

Then it struck me, i forgot to put those washers that span between each two bolts around the CV.. the bolts are just bottoming on the hub, AHHHHHH!

I think I'll fix it tonight and then go bury my head in the sand. I never cease to cause myself hours of unneeded pain and suffering

Damn, I was too slow getting here. As soon as I read the problem that was my guess.
Good thing you figured it out!
