Went over to Granite 944's place today for awhile to check out Sracer's car and assist a bit in maintenance.
While there, we did a compression test. The numbers were..
#1 180-182
#2 185
#3 180-182
#4 185
I'd be interested to know other compression test results for the NA cars. My car now has about 112,500 miles.

My S2 got 170 PSI during the PPI year before last and the car had 175K miles at the time.
If that is an S2, and you got those PSI numbers, I'd call it good. If it's an NA, I'd call it excellent. If it's a Turbo, I don't know what I'd call it.
Or am I all wrong, and my 170 PSI +/- 2 is really low for an S2?

Don't get too hung up on the psi numbers. For example I've heard of people measuring 170-200psi for S2's. As long as they are not really low and are within 10 or so psi you are good. Temp, humidity, gauge consistency, etc. make comparing psi from car to car, day to day, place to place pointless.
