I'm looking to make it since I completly bombed my last attempt thinking it was on Sunday! DOH. Can't tell you how bad it sucked that I drove 20+ hours total and barely saw any P-cars.

I am doing the foot work on the banquet this year again. Everyone is welcome but we are limited to about 60 people +/-. It's first come, first serve so when we are full...

The banquet is also in one of the large meeting rooms at the same hotel where we have a group room rate, which makes it convenient. I know after a long day of part hunting it's nice to just walk down stairs for dinner and not have to drive anywhere.

This plan sounds like it MIGHT keep me out of trouble this year....at least in Detroit anyway.....

The GF's family lives a couple miles from Hershey and we were going to make a trip of it. Unfortunately, I'm in a close friend's wedding (she may as well be my sister) that day...

Well the good news is, not only will we go slow (the speed limit), but we will burn some serious fuel. Jail time will be unlikely. No hotel rooms required.

Is Hershey worth driving up from new orleans to attend? it would probably take me a day of driving each way and end up costing me $600 in expenses...worth it for that?

or is there another event you'd recommend?

are they still doing the Rennsport reunions?

i've also thought about attending the Amelia Island event.

what is THE one event in N.America you would attend if you could?

It takes me about 5 hrs. to get there, one way. Any farther than that, and I'm not sure I would attend every year. Is it worth it? Hard to say. I have found some good stuff there, I guess it depends on what you need, and what else you have going on that weekend. It's a good road trip, if nothing else.

Cars for sale? The sale corral, IIRC usually has around 20-30 cars for sale. The cool thing I like to do is walk through the parking lot, they park all the Porsches together in one lot. There are hundreds of Porsches in the parking lot, people pull out lawn chairs, coolers, etc. (if the weather's nice) and it kinda turns into a big tailgate party.

There are deals to be had. Hard to find items can be found. Stable Energies, as well as other suppliers, bring trailers and tents and you can get discounts on brake pads, fluids, etc. You can try on helmets before buying (always a plus). All in all, it's pretty cool, and if you can make it, it's at least worth it to do it once.

Holy Shat! Hershey is only 2 hours from here! I guess living in VA does have its advantages. Count a Rockafor in.

Warning- Having Rock within a 50 mile radius of you increases youre likelyhood of jail time an average of 50-75%.

I am SO IN. EM50. Lots a room for parts... no hotel fees, more cash for good scotch.

expect a corral of 300-400 Porsches for sale, 30-60% will be 944 variants.
