Default 924 Torque Tube And Shaft Removal

Hey, im trying to get the torque tube out of the way so i can get the bell housing out to get the dampner out on my automatic 924s. The shaft seems to have some sort of external lock ring thing that is causing it to be stuck, and i cant get the shaft out. Can any one tell me what the deal is to get one of these out? or do i just have bad luck and mine is Frigged up?

thanks

Last I heard you had to remove the bellhousing with the torque tube on the auto cars... haven't gotten that far myself yet, can't comment...

yea well i tried that, and it was still stuck, so i un attached the bellhousing to see if i could see what was going on in there or get somehing in there to pry with, and that is how i discovered this lock ring.. i dont wana use force and really mess something up, so i need to know the right procedure to get this out.

You must remove the starter and unbolt the dampner from the flywheel
Then pull the TT and Bell housing back as a unit.
Then loosen the pinch bolt on the rear of the dampner.
Finally remove the clip in front of the dampner.
Pull the dampner off the input shaft.
