install your rear main seal with a 4" PVC cap. it fits perfectly and will be sure to seat the seal correctly. i had to pull the engine a second time after the rebuild just to replace the rear main seal.

Joe, that's a good idea for the seal. I was wondering what I was going to use to drive that in.

Does everybody replace the pilot bearing that is in the rear of the crankshaft?
