Default Did Design 90's ever come on a Turbo-S?

I bought a set of wheels on ebay hoping to polish them and then re-sell mine.

They turned out not to be Club Sports like the picture, but Design 90's.

The seller was selling them for a friend and neither of us really want to deal with re-selling them.

Any idea what I could get for them if I re-sell them? There is a couple inch spot of road rash on one, otherwise very nice.

nope D90's came after the club sports. They were the "cheaper version" of the club sport. Look pretty much the same, but are different as you noticed.

They came on the S2 and some 964's

D90s I believe only came on the S2 models. Didn't the TurboS have a variation of them. Where middle connected to the lip was a little different.

:edit: wow, 2 posts while i was writing mine! That was fast! Yeah C2s had them as well. Which did the 928 have?? Was it D90s or the CS wheel?

I think some 928's had the club sports. Pretty rare as they had the desireable 8" wide version.

My parents 91 928S4 has the D90's that came stock.

Also, Club Sports were forged, D90's were cast.

Nothing uglier than a 911 w/ D90's (IMHO, of course)!! Like them on 944's though, most of the time!

Of course I COULD be wrong, but I think the 90 and 91 944 turbos that did not come to the US had D90s on them instead of the club sports. I have a brochure at home where I could verify this but not with me. Anyone know for sure??

With regards to the 951, this is incorrect.

The Design 90 style wheels were fitted standard on 951 cars for MY 1990 and 1991, neither of which were imported officially in the U.S., but yes to Canada and RoW.

These Design 90 wheels for the 951 were wider, with 7.5" fronts and 9" rears, and also were available optionally on the 944S2 as part of the M030 sport package. If they are true 951 Design 90 wheels, they should have these widths and are in fact quite scarce.

I still have my originals but fellow 951 cabrio owner Tommye in Switzerland is currently looking for some 7.5" fronts to replace the non-original 7" Design 90 wheels that were on the car when he bought it.

These are 7" and 9" wide. Any idea of the value with good tires?

Didn't see your post. Like I said, if they came off a 951, those should be 7.5" or you have a mixed set, like my friend Tommye.

How do you measure them with tires mounted? I'm just going off of what I was told they were. If it's just the very outside width of the rim, I can do that.

No need to measure them. If they're original 951 wheels they will have the number 7.5 embossed next to the valve stem opening.
