Yep, I gots me a meeeeyaaaata (how marisa pronounces it). it is a blast to drive. zips around like a go cart. I got 29mpg on the way home from DC.

Dont let it get too warm. if you do I may have to take the miata with the top down instead of the phantom never to a rennlist get together S2.

So, will we be moving the meet to the Hot Grill? (I vote yes...) If we go there, we can always hop over to Totowa for some home made ice cream at Giolotti's.

I'll know after a date is set. Weekends are tough so I might have to be a maybe for now. I'm the junior Sergeant on the platoon, so it's tough to get weekends. The PD has been pretty busy as of late so I'm anticipating a cut back in guys off at a time.

So are we looking at a saturday or sunday?

These are all sundays and MetroNY events by the way,

March 12th - Autocross seminar, not sure how many are planning on going to this
March 19th - Autocross
April 2nd - Autocross

Now im 100% sure about Tom, but Dan and i will probably be at all three of these events (or just make it a saturday) . So if possible plan around these. Ill try to defenetley make it down, those hot dogs look great. But if i dont finish working on my car this weekend im probably out.

One day we should take a ride down to Hoagie Haven in Princeton...i freaken love that place! I would also reccommend Kat'z Deli on the Lower East side...but parking might be an issue..

Either place is fine by me, but IMO Applegates in Montclair is better than Giolotti's.

Ohhhh brother.... Applegates couldn't hold a candle to Giolottis -- heck Carvel's makes better sweet forzen delicacies than Applegates....

As far as dates -
The weekedn of April 7-9 is NNJR's Pocono DE
The weekend of April 14-15 is NNJR's Lime Rock DE
April 30th is the NNJR AX season opener.

How does March 26th or 27th sound for a tentative date?

I hope the JK wasnt about the date.

Lets throw the 26 or 27th against the wall and see which one sticks.

The 25th or 26th works for me, the only thing I have going that weekend is curling on Friday night.

curling? Tell me THAT's a joke!!

Though, this past olympics, it seems there were showing a AWFUL lot of that sport. And I must admit, I was mezmerized by them gliding a hunk of rock down the 'iceway'

You must have a very sweat tooth and lots of cavaties. I don't like overly sweat sweats, Teuscher chocolate over Hershey for me . Are you talking Applegates store bought (which sucks) or from the barn? News 12 rates Applegates near the top and Giolottis down about midway. Maybe we need to try both and compare.

I'm not Canadian or Scottish, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a few ends of curling-the only sport where they encourage you to drink beer during a match! www.njcurling.org
