Wrenching, driving, smoking the tires in front of GSP, whatever

I also know of a killer parking garage that's on a hilltop in Alpharetta to take great pictures on top of.

It's got a decent backdrop of the city:

Hennessey Porsche is also a good place that's nearby for a photoshoot.
Love the sound of that! Probably isn't more than five minutes from my dad's house...

Ok - Address is
Porsche Cars North America Inc
980 Hammond Drive Northeast Suite 1000, Atlanta, GA 30328

Coming west on the top end 285 get off on Peachtree Dunwoody and go right/North. Take a left on Hammond Dr (First intersection) and the building will be on the right.

Coming east on the top end 285 get off the Glenridge Connector and go left/North. Take a right on Hammond Dr (First intersection) and the building will be on the left.

Coming south on 400 get off on Abernathy and go left/east. Take a right on Mount Vernon and immediate left onto Peachtree Dunwoody. Take a right on Hammond and building will be on left.

There is a pull through drive and a nice round a bout that we can get a nice shot at. No one will be there on a Sunday morning either. The PCA club had a concours there once. My cell number is if anyone gets lost.

Now where to go for lunch at Northpoint? Anyone have any ideas? I don't get up that way a lot. Might not hurt Ian if you posted some directions to your place or had a handout in case anyone got seperated on the way over.

I wish I could make it over to meet all you guys, but I think the Ins Co is going to total my 944 today and it's not driveable anyway. Plus my son has a travel baseball gm at 2pm in Loganville.

Maybe next time.

Schlotzsky's!!!

I like the idea of meeting at Porsche Headquarters for a photoshoot aroud 11am, then going up to North Point area for lunch (we can decide where exactly we wanna eat at the time) and then heading over to Ian's place, to mingle and wrench, as long as that's still an open option..

Can't wait!

lol just wait till you see my Protege, or ProtoGAY as my friends like to call it

It looks like Schlotzky's is the best candidate for lunch unless anyone has any objections, and it's one of the easier places to find off GA 400. Just take a right off exit 10 if you're coming North, go through one stoplight, and Schlotzky's is on your right at the next intersection of Old Milton and North Point parkway...can't miss it.

Josh, or whoever is leading the pack from PCNA, just hit me up on my cell when you get to Schlotzky's or where ever and I'll head over and meet you. The parking deck for picture taking is literally 100 yards from Schlotzkys so that works out. My cell is 770-843-0693

Great - Weather looks to be playing along. Partly cloudy and 60 degrees predicted for Sunday.

Anyone who frequents Pelican or the Turbo board want to post a link to this thread there?

BTW - Sorry about your mishap Dean - would have liked to see your car. It looks great in the avatar. I've got a prefectly good black rear bumper from my parts car that will probably end up in the trash if you are interested.
