Question Will 225s on 8 inch rims clear on the front of a 924S?

All,

I know 225 width tires will fit OK on the front of a 924S, but do any of you know whether having them mounted on 8 inch wide wheels impacts clearance at all? I am using a Ground Control ARHK so I have a bit more spring clearance, but will there be an issue with contacting the fender lips?

Thanks in advance

should fit fine. The 8 wheel does not make the tire that much wider.

But if you have an 8 inch wide wheel with 52.3 mm backspacing and a 7 inch wide wheel with 52.3 mm backspacing isn't that going to push the outer edge of the 8 inch wide wheel toward the wheel well lip? Or am I thinking about this too much?

I have to stew about these things you know, that's my nature.

The front wheels on the 951's and 944S2's are 7Jx16 with a 55mm offset.
The rear wheels on the 951's and 944S2's are 8Jx16 with a 52.3mm offset.

Still, you should be ok - worst case, you may have to roll your inside fender lip thingy...

Yes the outer edge will be closer. However the tire is still wider than the wheel by a bit (225mm = 8.5") so it is the tire that stil needs to clear.

Now I say this for a 15" wheel. Not sure about a 16" as diameter plays a role too.
