Default replacing sway bar bushings - tips?

these things are a pretty tight fit, well, most of them, one of them is swelled up to about 3x the size, hence the replacement of the center bushings.. but whats the best way to get these off and slide them on, wd-40 do the trick or is there some other lubricant that makes this a simple process.

just looking for some pointers when i attack this later tonight

thanks

To get the old ones off I've just cut them off.

Then to slide the new ones on I've used grease. The grease may help to keep them from making noises when you are driving.

To slide the new bushings, I've only used a lot of soap. It worked fine and there's no risk in damaging the bushings like with oil or WD-40

Or if you can fit the bar into a freezer (I know, quite long to do) but let it sit for awhile then apply grease or WD-40 and slide on the bushings. If you do that, make sure the bushings are room temp.

Dish soap. Rub some on the inside of the bushings and they will easily slide on the bar(s).

Don't use anything petroleum based on rubber bushings. It will deteriorate the rubber.

I put a little piece of paper inside the bushing and slide it on.

Go delrin inners -- and laugh at petro products affecting them ever again! Squeeks? Not a beep out of mine in 20k miles. Not to mention there's less rubber in your suspension system.

Also, talcum powder is an amazing lubricant on rubber!
