I have an 85.5 944 does this car have a check engine light ? I know the central warning light works i that all it has ?

ya isn't it the "exclamation point" or "!" in between the gaudges?

Depending on the problem the appropriate warning light should illuminate e.g. if you're overheating you should get the $ light, a warning light on the guage and the Temp guage should be in the top zone.
