Default New Title - I want some CHEAP 7 and 8 x 16 wheels

Late offset. Don't need tires. Clean preferred, but I don't want to spend a mint. 87+ 951 Phones would be nice

Or just a pair of 7 x 16 D90s.

Anybody?

You looking at actually driving that car soon?? I went down to Marietta and took the turbo, didn't expect for it to get to 8 degrees this weekend! You want to get bigger wheels or want a change?

Drive it soon? Not if it stays this cold. I was off on Friday and was going to drive it around a bit but got caught up in kitchen and basement stuff, and it was cold. Actually I drove it around a few weeks ago when we had that warm spell.

But the wheels, I'm thinking about running 225s at all four corners instead of the staggered 205 and 225 I have now for summer tires. So either a set of a later 951 or just replace the 6" D90s I have with a pair of 7".

Actually if I can find a set of 4 7x16s off a 928 I might run those with spacers

Hmm, nice price. I'll have to stew about that a bit. I'm not a big fan of the looks of the sewer lids though.

Yeah, I was gonna offer up a set of chromed sewer lids from my wifes 928 buy was too proud to do so... lol I hate those things! I need to get rid of them, they just take up space in storage.

Regards

Let's revisit this.

I want a cheap set of late offset 16 inch wheels. My first choice is phones in 7 and 8 inch widths.

If you have a pair of 7 inch wide D90s to spare to replace the 6 inch wide I have on the front I'd be interested in looking at those too.

Or if you have a set of 4 7" wide phones I would love to score those.

If 8 inch wide will work OK with 225s on the front on a 924S I have a line on a set of 4 8x16 phones, so if anybody can speak to that I'd appreciate it. Also, what price range for a set like that?

BUT - I really don't want to spend a ton of money on this. I would like to stay under $400 plus shipping. I had an offer of a set of Club Sports by some guy who seemed to miss the point that I don't what to drop a ton of cash on this and acted surprised when I told him I wanted to stay below $400 s possible.

Thanks.

Hey Manning,

I have a set of D90's available. The 8" rears are in decent shape but one of the 7" fronts has some pretty nasty curb rash. They are currently hold up my new project but I can switch them of if need be. I can usually get $400 for just the 8" rears from the track guys, but I would sell the whole set for that since your right around the corner - saves me from the hassle of shipping them.

Let me know.

Scott, perhaps I can help rid yourself of those absolutely vile wheels! How about emailing sharp pics and an asking (let's see just how disgusted you are with them ) price.

you have a line of 4 8" phones? We should trade my front 7's for the 2 extra 8's on those. That way I get the 4 8's I want, you get the 7's.
BTW, 225 works fine on the 8" wheel, thats what the factory put on them.

Manning, I know a guy in Cleveland with a set of phone dials from an 87 Turbo that he might want to sell, and he usually asks your kind of money. Get my number from Mike1982.

Not to hijack this post, but I'm very interested in some D90's or 928 flat dishes. I would prefer something local (Southern California). Also if your open to trades I have some 15'' refinished "spiderweb" wheels I'm selling (massive 15x6, 4-bolts, 4x108 bolt pattern. Email me if interested.

Eyal,

Another lister in TX has a set of 4 on his track car that he is willing to sell since he is upgrading. I don't know how much he wants for them though. Maybe I can point him your way, or actually look at my post in the member WTB forum where he posted up the offer.
