Default Fuel Pressure Readings

Did some tests today at the rail to help me diagnose a rich condition.

Brackets indicate stock values, my readings are on the right.

Engine stopped - Relay jumpered (36PSI +/- 3PSI) 42PSI

Engine running at idle (29PSI +/-3PSI) 34PSI

20 Minute leak down pressure (14.5PSI) 40PSI

I think the car just needs a good tune up. I’m going to order the tune up kit from Lindsey (unless you have another suggestion) and install it asap. At this point it has been burning too much fuel and has probably clogged the cat and O2 sensor. I’m going to disassemble the exhaust system and gut it (good excuse, eh?).

My adventures continue!

Okay... I was looking a the Lindsey tune up kit ( http://www.lindseyracing.com/Merchan...=944PACKTUNEUP ) I want to buy the optional MSD coil but I can’t find the ballast resistor that is needed for use with stock ignition systems. For those of you who have bought from Lindsey: Does the kit come with the resistor or did you have to buy it separately, and if so, where?

Thanks,
