Roger: You're welcome to come over too! The only thing i'm worried about is space. As you know, I have 2 spots in my garage (one for my 944, and one for Chris' 968 since he's got the biggest project for the day) plus 1 spot in the driveway. However, I'm thinking that we can play musical chairs with the driveway space, as needed, throughout the day.

We're planning for next weekend
Efren, what day and time. I might swing by, bring some beer. I have a flywheel lock.

I'll be doing my torsion bars and springs
Chris, what size bars/springs? I just installed 28 bars with 270 springs in mine.

Can I park on the lawn?......Just kidding.......i think I can do most work without the need of a driveway........plus I was mostly hoping that someone there might be able to better diagnose my problem..........

I'd hold off on buying anything until you get a look at it. I have 150k mi. on my car and just had the head off and was surprised at how everthing was in such good condition.

We were planning on installing this on 2/18. The turbo is scheduled to arrive on Wed 2/15. We have 1 problem. His registration is due and we're trying to get his chips remapped for the K27/6 turbo. (John)Vitesse is out of town and Danno is not responding to our e-mails. We want to pass the Smog test before we change the turbo. I'll send you a PM once we are set with the date.

Steve, if you mean tomorrow (2/11) I can't make it - I'm only a few hours away from finishing the 968 and putting my first few miles on it (except when I drove it home).

If you meant next weekend, then I can swing by and help turn some wrenches. I don't like parts heaven, but I'll go with you just for fun. What do you need from them? EASY might give you a better price.

The only projects I have besides wrapping up the variocam on the 968, are the motor mounts on the 944 and other dinky stuff. I have an engine crane for my motor mount job, but this might take a while and become an intensive job, so I won't take up your driveway and time with it. I'd be glad to just show up and help, and maybe get some pointers on how to fix some issues.

Arash: Ok good luck on your project. If you have a chance, stop on over.. I'm on Middlefield Drive, between Ocean and Sloat. You should see the garage door open and a black 968 inside. We should be working until like 7:00 or so.

Steve, I closed shop tonight at 10pm, so I was never able to make it. But the good news is, the 968 is done! As soon as I take care of that radiator drain plug, which broke, I can hit the roads.

Steve,

I never did make it over this weekend but I did manage to install the MBC and fix the brake problem (kind of.....think I fixed the vacuum issue so the brakes are back to their original status which was not good to begin with). Anyway I should be good enough for the run on the 25th. I hope you and Chris will make it.

Dang it, I should have checked the thread this morning. I didn't know you guys were working... I even had time to stop by, but next time I guess.

The car is now up and running, and my oh my is it a sweet thang. I'm going from an early NA to this 968, and it is astonishing in every way!

To stay on topic, Joe, you definately chose the right front engine, rear wheel drive (FR) porsche to buy.

thanks man. . . I certainly feel that way! Honestly I think it not only kills in the handling dept but I think it's just gorgeous. Especially from the back end.

Hey guys, I'm looking at last weekend this month or first in March if anybody is doing some shop time. I figured it would take a little bit of time to organize, how wrong was I?? Where are we at on this thread, 25+?!

So yeah if anybody is down to wrench end of the month lemme know. I will be doing brakes + vario inspection + changing fluids. probably have my Motive power bleeder by then also.

----
EDIT - I just signed on for the 944/68 drive end of the month so I'll just meet you all there.
