Put it on e-bay, I will guarentee it will fetch 5500. Take away $100 to list it and it will make someone a very nice car. I would buy it myself, but I am unfortunately getting married soon and can't be that irresponsible with money. Please sell it whole, don't kill a very nice car.

Hope your ankle gets better--be careful of the ice out there!

Does that mean are hatch finding barn hunt is off for this weekend?

Ahh, well if you are parting as a for-proift business I suppose you have to charge higher prices. Usually when a regular guy parts out a car he is trying to reduce losses, and as he does not have a business reputation people expect to pay less than they would pay at a dismantler. Also I feel that if you are parting out a car as part of a community the members of that community should get an excellent price.

My price structure:

The price of any given part should be cheap enough to make the buyer not want to hesitate, as for pictures, claim to be sending money, etc. and so they are not overly picky with a used part. It should also be expensive enough to be worth the trouble of pulling, taking pictures, dealing with a buyer, packing, shipping, etc. If a part is particularly rare that should factor in. I figure ebay prices are generally fair comparison, 1/2-2/3's of the price you pay at a dismantler maybe.

Then again profit does not factor into my algorithm.

that is nice and my normal format, save when i have 10000 out . all i ask is fair $. if the part is junk i toss it, if not i sell it. I have offers of 500 for an s2 motror, 1200 for the whole cab(CAR), 200 for a s2 lsd tranny, 175 shipped for the 91 hatch...it goes on and on. should i just take that? and lay in snow and mud to make nothing? can't do it. i will just ebay the stuff then. The poarts are for sale, if you think the prices are junk yard prices, that is fine,i appreciate your opinion. i have never seen an s2 cab at a yard other than specialists and they want a heck of a lot more for the stuff than i do

Nick...Have you decided if you're parting out the Cab yet? I'm still interested in the header panel.

sitting in the driveway. i have had a lot of interest in it whole...but most of that was a waste of time, no real serious offers. just buzzards wanting cheap s2's. I am taking it and all the parts to hershey and what doesn't sell there, i will be ebaying. (with some in between)
