Default MID-AMERICA FUNFEST

Hey, I just found out the MID-AMERICA has canceled the PORSCHE FUNFEST for 2006 and maybe forever so I thought I would drop them a line(below)and I was hoping that everyone could also, just to show that there is a lot of people that will miss it.We really have a great time down there and we have meet some truly great people and I would hate to see it go.I'm not into chain letters or the such but if you could write them your thoughts and pass on this to your other PORSCHE fans maybe it would help. Thanks for your time. Nick Gaines

We are truly sorry to hear that you have canceled the PORSCHE Funfests. We have been coming down and stayed for the weekend for the last 4 and had a great time at all of them.I found out about this on the KCWS site and every one is disappointed they all had a great time down there. Is there anyway of combining one with the other I know the CORVETTE Funfest is huge but what about the V.W. FUNFEST.You would still be dealing with a lot of the rear engines guys.Hopefully your minds are not made up and you guys can find a way to work us down there also.I'm a member of the ST.LOUIS P.C.A. and the K.C.W.S. in KANSAS CITY MO and we all would like to be included at the your FUNFEST in the future. If there is any thing that we can do help change your mind please contact us at NICKSPLACE@CHARTER.NET or call 314-518-5380 Thanks again-Nick Gaines

I have enjoyed going to the funfests over the years, but I have to admit that I do not typically purchase parts from Tweeks/Mid America. I may pick up a part or two while I am there due to the on-site discount, but I can understand that they may have just overspent their fun budget on the funfest. It has grown over the years to the point that there was an on-site dyno last year. Too bad it rained all day...

This sucks donkey *****. First no more Ohio Renn Fest and now Tweeks Fun Fest. For those who havent experienced a 30mile tour with all the streets closed down along with a police escort and police chaser you have been deprived of a great experience. This really sucks. I'm gonna have to figure out what GTG to attend now. DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!

How about Renntreffen in Sept? We'll miss Funfest and I hope MAM reconsiders.

I guess Mike Yager is abandoning Porsche owners as they are not as profitable as Corvette owners. Can't say I blame him, the Corvette funfest draws a huge crowd.

I've spoken to him a couple of times in person and he loves his job....
