Default Thoughts on a S2?

Was offered a mint S2 to add to my collection. Currently own a restored 86 924S and had owned a 944 turbo about 12 years ago. What should I expect from a S2 in terms of performance relative to the 924s and 944T?

more guts than a 924s all over the powerband, and more torque down low than the 951. i say jump on it

I have owned both a 951 and an S2 (currently have my second S2). The S2 is a much better daily driver and seems to pull forever through the rev band. It doesn't have the kick in the pants the 951 does when the turbo winds up but it may actually be a little quicker from launch. They share a lot of parts so the brakes and suspension are the same. You can't mod the S2 like the turbo but in the end that is good more me cause I can't spend to much money on mods.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the hands on feedback. Would most likely proceed with the S2, will post pictures once acquired.

The car currently has 18" wheels on them, I suspect that may be am bit too much for that car design, any thoughts on going with 17"?

17s will fit that car very well. I have a set of 17s on my 944 N/A and thy look great and do not feel like they are too much for the car when driving it.
