Default 1987 924s wont start

New battery. Car has been running fine. When I go to start it the engine wont turn over. Makes the sound as if the car is about to start you know when you turn the key. But it won't flip. Any ideas?

spray some starter fluid in the air box...if it kicks over, you have a fuel problem. if not, you have a spark issue...verify that you have spark after this test by pulling a wire and putting an old plug in and cranking...no spark..check the coil fopr spark by using a spark wire and the plug again...none...get a manual after cheking the pick ups on the bell house. no fuel, check for the injecters to click when the car is turned on at the key, none...check that the ecm and dme realy are working and that the fuses are good...that would be a good start
