Great review Sam, I will definitely try this on my seats (leather, in good shape, but a little "grey").

The color of the 968 panels is actually champagne...and man would those have looked good with my champagne seats.

Thanks for the heads up on the Leatherique dye, I've used their Prestine Clean and Rejuvinator Oil with good success, will have to give this a try as well.

Thanks Sam, I've been sprucing up the place a little lately and am pleased with the results.

I'd been trying to visualize what champagne door panels might look like and then saw your pics, guess I'll have to keep my eyes open.

You have an amazing 944! Those door handles are great.

Very nice, I thought about an M3 after a ride in yours but I don't think it would be a practical daily here on the streets of Indy, especially downtown where the roads really suck. Now I'm looking at Jetta TDI's, 50mpg here I come!!

Thanks Keith - nice to hear positive feedback. They were made for a little while, not sure if you can get them anymore. They also made them in solid aluminum I believe. Just something a little different I guess...

50mpg never hurt anyone! What years? You keeping the 951 now? I dont blame you on the street comment - I hated driving the 951 around Indy in certain spots. The M3 is not a fan of rough streets, I havent managed to scrape it anywhere yet though. (suprised)

Great looking M3 interior....gotta love those cheap crap BMW cup holder / ash tray units though. What were they thinking??

So true Andy - you cant use them for drinks or else they end up in you or your passengers lap..just becomes another coin/trash holder.

Sam, I have an E36 328i as well, do you have the plastic ring insert that goes inside the cupholder? It makes it much more useable (although they're still lousy). I can take a pic if you haven't seen them.

Hmmm...not sure I know what you are speaking of Greg. Mine just have the little spring tensioned things that are designed to adjust to different sizes. (In reality they do nothing..) A pic might help - is it an aftermarket add-on?

Here's what I'm talking about, although after looking more closely at your console I don't know that it would work. Too bad, it actually does ok on my car.

Found these pics at: www.bavauto.com
The first pic is of the console itself with the ring in it. This is the early style console but the ring might fit in your front holder at least.
