OK, here's the scoop.
There are 2 different sized holes in our hatchs.
944 & S2 have a 16mm hole
944 Turbo has a 26mm hole
The plugs are steel not plastic, and will outlive the seal on your hatch if not the entire car. No worries on quality.
I have already ordered 20 of the 30mm plugs, which will cover both style holes. Install is a wing nut on the back of the plug, as easy as it can get.
I am going to get them this Friday and paint them over the weekend. As they come they are primered gray. I will scuff them, shoot with a black metallic auto paint, then clear coat.
This is the same that I did for the one in my old 951 and it looked great and the painted lasted 3 years with no problems.
The price as stated above will be $24 shipping within the CONUS. International shipping will be at extra cost above USPS priority mail costs.
After I get them done I will make a post and include a link in my signature.
PM me to get on the list.

Jason, I'm looking forward to getting mine. Sounds like the quality of the unit, and the paint (with clear) will be excellent, especially at 24 shipped!
The nice thing about the wing nut is you can get the right amount of torque on it without cracking the hatch with a tool.
thanks for the birthday wish! 22 today, I dunno if I like it.

I got 20 of them in today. Very good quality, they just need to painted and will be ready to go.
I'll make a new post when ready, I should have time this weekend to paint them.
Here is what they look like unpainted.
