Please advise what the "954" number on the end of the porsche part number signifies.

I believe is the standard 944 n/a spring up to or through MY 88.

Jim has the part number correct.
Standard being non turbo?
Would the "954" signify a stiffer spring as on the turbo models?

Spring rate 221.8 N/mm, wire dia. 12.0 mm
Application: 944/924S with standard and sport shock absorbers

1 blue dot L= 381 mm, Spring Force 2727-2800 N
2 blue dot L=381 mm, Spring Fprce 2800-2873 N
3 blue dot L=381 mm, Spring Force 2873-2946 N
