Default Electrical Problem?

Just getting used to my "new" `87 944S. I noticed while walking back to my car that the other day that all my left turn and indicators lights were on (key not in). I finally noticed that my left turn signal was on. So what ever side I have the turn signal on the lights stay on. Any ideas why?

That's normal. It's part of the European marker system. If you leave the signal in a position and turn off the ignition, the light would stay on solid. It uses very little energy meaning it won't drain the battery.
