Question How do I remove the eccentric bolt in the front strut???

There are two bolts that you need to remove in the bottom of the strut housing. The top bolt is an eccentric bolt which provides for adjustment of the wheel camber. How do I remove this bolt??? It wont come out
Thanks in advance

Remove the nut, holding the bolt with an appropriate sized wrench or ratchet.

Tap the bolt out with a hammer, keeping track of the eccentric washer that was on the nut side.

When i did my shocks i needed like a four foot breaker bar to get it lose, also make sure the bolt itself dosnt spin because its pretty easy to strip the bolt at the ecentric washer. The bolt had a flat area ground off of it so in a profile it looks like a circle with the top cut off, the washer has a simular flat spot to indexs to two together so the washer rotates with the bolt, however if the bolt is spun hard enough the washer can stay still and the bolt rotate causing the bolt treads to get wedged into the flat spot on the washer. If this has happend you will need to hold the washer still and turn the bolt untill the flat spots are aligned again to pull the washer off, and you will need a new ecentric bolt and washer.

Probably pretty obvious, but my favorite tool when working on suspensions (and the 951 exhaust manifolds and cross-over pipe) is the 9" line-up punch. Works great for lining up holes in flanges, and also for driving out bolts without damaging them. I prefer not to bash on bolts directly with a hammer.
