Question Radio Lockout CODE Message Question

After I disconnected and reconnected the battery, I have to key in my radio code number to get it working again. After keying in the code number (example only, 4456) the numbers just sit there an look at me. When I touch the radio, the screen where the code was goes blank and I have to wait another 15-30 mins or so for me to put the code in again. What am I doing wrong after I key in the number? Should I be punching an enter button of some kind?

Thanks,

Harvey

I have to hit a combo of two keys after entering the code. I don't even recall what head unit it is or the keys but I'm sure of the proceedure, lol.

The radio is in a 968 Porsche and is marked Porsche...nothing else that I can see. There has to be a sequence of keys to hit but I'm not sure which. It probably varies with the make and model....but 968s'/944s you'd think would be the same. Thanks.
