I'm moving to Bloomington, IN in January. Do any of you guys/ girls drink beer, wine or bourbon, and might want to welcome Susan and I to your fair city the week of 1/9/06? This translates to, get together and teach us how to be a Hoosier!

We're looking to get out of Indiana. Have you sold your house in Jersey? Maybe do a 1 for 1 trade?

Hey Winslow. Let me give you an early welcome the the Hoosier state! There are several of us lurking around, and we're always up for a gathering. January is not a very hospitable time of the year weather-wise, but it could be worse. Maybe this is the reason Daniel is looking to get out? The week of the 9th is a busy one for me, but I can try to meet up sometime. Is there a particular reason why Bloomington is your city of choice?

We're not really looking to leave yet (nor do plan to stay forever). Weather being an important consideration, NJ wouldn't be a likely choice.

Seriously, though, there are a lot of 944 types in surrounding areas and GTG happen a few times a year.

Wasn't your wife offered a job in Bloomington? Congrats on the move.

Thanks guys,

Daniel is right, my wife is already working in Bloomington. We have a purchase agreement in place on our house in NJ. We made an offer on a home in Bloomington we are going back and forth with the offer/ counter offer game. I have had two interviews in Indianapolis, waiting to hear if there will be a third (maybe last). I will be in Indiana permanently around the 20th of January.

We are looking forward to the move. Here are two pics of the house we are trying to buy.

Winslow, Welcome!! Im always going back and forth between Warsaw and Indy and Warsaw and Evansville. My 951 is in Evansville currently which is the closest to Bloomington. Evansville -> Bloomington is about a 2hr drive, pretty easy as well. Jan 9th would be tough as just coming off xmas holiday and what not, but Im always up for a meet and drink.

I spent the best 4 years of my life in Bloomington. I really envy you. It is one of my favorite places on earth - a really great city surrounded by some beautiful countryside. You'll have to become a transplant IU fan

Seriously, though - 46 from Bloomington to Nashville and 135 straight south and you have some of the best roads in the country. I'm planning on opening up a private strip along 135 when I grow up - it's really a wonderful place down in Brown County.

Go to Little Zagreb's your first night in town - the Trojan Horse is good as well. South of Nashville, you have one of the best resturants in the the state - the Story Inn. I'd love to meet up with you next time we are in town.

Let me know if you want any "insider" info - and congrats, again.

Oh, I forgot to mention - another great 951er, Beab951 (Brian) is from Bloomington. He can probably show you the ropes, too

Welcome to the Midwest Winslow! Trying to get closer to the 944 fest?

I'd be up for a weekend jaunt over to Bloomington to chat and have a drink (or two). It would be good to talk to you again. I'll see what my schedule brings that week.

BTW- are you bringing the EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle with you?

Yes it is true, the EM-50 will be making the trek from NJ to IN. The house is big enough to accomidate both you and Wade and a couple of wives. I am sure we can all get together in February or March.

Sam it would be good to see you anytime. Micah, thanks for the heads up.

John: C'mon, it's Czechoslovakia. We zip in, we pick 'em up, we zip right out again. We're not going to Moscow. It's Czechoslovakia. It's like we're going into *Wisconsin*.

Russel: John, I got my *** kicked in Wisconsin once..
