Question Fishing for pistons

Anybody have any 100mm NA pistons from tolerance group 2? I would be able to trade a set of tolerance group 1 pistons for them.

99% of those out there are tolerance group 1.
That is the size the factory was aiming for. Tolerance group 0 and 2 pistons are for when they made mistakes (too big/small).
That is what I was told by the local stealership.
I as well was on the hunt for a set of group 2 pistons, and eventually gave up.

I have these (look at the engine code & part numbers on top):

If you are serious, give me till tomorrow to see if they are in stock, i believe these are group 2 pistons according to the manual.

I'm going to try to use my block with tolerance group 1 bores. The problem is that it has scored cylinders. If I can't use that, I'll be going to plan B and use a block I have with tolerance group 2 bores.

I'm having my block checked out, so I should know shortly.

Hosrom, do you know what those 2 pistons go for? And aren't you a bit far away?

Stooge: Pistons go for $660 + shipping, last time i checked for shipping for a rennlister, it was $35 and takes 10 days, or ~$55 for 3-5 days.

Thing is, i called my supplier, and no answer, so i cannot confirm anything untill i actually see him, wuch should be this saturday.

Note: These are brand new, come with rings, pins and pin clips.

That "M44-40" should mean that they are for a 2.5L 16V 944S.

The part# shows in PET for an 87 944S 2.5L 16V

Yes they will be for an NA, 100mm and appear to be tolerance 2 but I don't think they will work for an 8V.

Andy,
Thanks for checking that out, don't want to be sending the wrong parts.

I also found these, but there are two part numbers, i believe these are for early models:

944 103 089 04
944 103 091 00

Hussam,
Do you have any Turbo pistons that will fit a #2 block? If so, I'll have a nice set of #2 NA pistons for StogeMoe.

Are the #2 blocks slightly bigger or smaller than the #1 or #0?

I have Turbo pistons, the box has the numbers 100.00 which indicates group 2. However, the pistons have the numbers 99.98, which are group 0 pistons.

I believe ALL the boxes are labeled in such manner:
