Theres no active leak inside the car, its mostly condensation on the windows. But condensation and wood/carpeting never mix, especially when the ice from that condensation melts back onto a surface.

If you are getting condensation on the windows that means there is moisture inside the car and the water is getting in there somewhere. Rear hatch seal is a common place where rain water can get in. Check to see that the seal hasn't shrunk and seperated where it joins together.

There IS about a 1" gap in the seal in the center of the hatch, it looks like it was meant to be like that... hmm. Anyone have a picture? this is a very possible culprit. Would it explain the condensation on the windshield too? I should just throw some silica gel inside the car, a bucket of it. Or anhydrous magnesium sulfate.

That is standard...I actually took a junk old seal off another 44 and cut a piece to fill in that gap

Why oh why, I'll get something to fill it for the time being and see if I stop getting condensation.

in a very windy snowstorm I actually had my hatch fill with snow from that gap in the hatch seal. I was very confused that morning.
