My mechanic told me that I need a a/c heater blower motor (944 624 117 00) for my 91 S2. This motor seems quite costly ($500-600 new from several stores). I am thinking of getting a used working one. Is it a good idea to get a used part for this? Also, did Porsche use the same a/c heater blower motor on all their late 944s including turbos, say after 1985? I found a used one from a 1986 944 NA; would that work?
Thanks,
Eric

If the part numbers are the same, then I think there should be no problem in using a motor from a 944. I put in a used blower motor from a 968 into my 944 earlier this year without any problems.

I have 2 good blower motor assemblies from 86 944 Turbos for $100 each plus shipping. They include everything - air inlet sensor, vacuum line, etc. - just plug & play.
