Can you use a 911 steering wheel on a 944?

I am looking at this 944 with a bunch of miles. So you can imagine what the steering wheel feels like (that and horn button broke). It was a 4 spoke on an 86.
If I don't go with a momo or something, can I simply get a 911 wheel and stick it on? They look the same, but I haven't been into the workings to compare
Thanks
Steve

Should work okay to the best of my knowledge.

On early cars, there was an option for a 911 3-spoke. I changed mine with a wheel out of a 911. I needed to keep the 944 wheel-to-dash adapter, but it bolted right on.

Yellowline has it right: you need to keep the adapter off the old four-spoke wheel and change it around with the 911 four-spoke wheel. Just be careful not to get a 928 four-spoke, as I've been told those don't fit at all, even with an adapter (they are also a larger diameter if I remember correctly).
