Ive noticed that my locks (when trying to lock/unlock from the outside) have been getting stiffer and stiffer as the weather gets colder. Is there any way to fix this.. its for an 84 944

You can regrease the cylinder. Just completely cover it and put it back in the door handle. As the metal gets colder, it contracts, causing a slight change of fittament of the key and cylinder, all the while your lube on the cylinder and tumblers could be getting cold enough to solidify.
I used to get this problem on my 924S and on my 944 last year. HomeDepot or any autoplace sells a lock de-icer which also has a lubricant in it. Spray it inside the lock and it really smooths everything out. WD40 will work also, but i found it dosent last as long as the lock de-icer stuff. It comes in a little aeresol type can, usualy available at the registers.

You want to keep your locks clean and lubricated. WD-40 is very good because it will clean the junk out and it also displaces moisture. However, condensation will produce moisture again so I suggest that you regularly spray your locks in the cold months to keep the moisture away if you're having this problem. Spray the WD-40 right into the cylinder with the red thingy.

The problem with using oils is that they attract dust and will only make the situation worse over time.
I just had this problem with my car. The locks were getting so stiff you could barely move the key. I picked up this stuff at the auto store, I believe it was called Lock-Ease. It's graphite in an aerosol can. You squirt it in your lock, the alcohol dries, and leaves the graphite behind. You wouldn't believe how nice that stuff works. My locks are like brand new again. Highly recommended.
